Drosera Films is the independent film studio of cinematographer Soren Nielsen and writer/director Victoria Rivera.

what.

Soren shoots. Victoria writes and directs. Together we make commercials, documentaries and narrative films, from one-person shoots to full crews. We learned by doing, and we bring all of it to every project.

where.

Based in New York. We go where the story is, with trusted crew around the world.

why.

We stay small on purpose. Every project gets a crew built for it and nothing it doesn't need. You work with the two of us directly, start to finish.

who.

We make two kinds of work.

For brands, media outlets and agencies, we produce branded film, photography and social content. Between us, we've made work for Google, Verizon, McDonald's, P&G, General Mills, Johnson & Johnson, JetBlue, GQ amongst others.

We also develop and produce our own character-driven fiction and documentary films, and have made work for Hulu, The Atlantic and Nowness. Our films have screened or been recognized at festivals including Tribeca, Telluride, Palm Springs ShortFest, Bogoshorts, the Macondo Awards and the DGA Awards.
